1. Introduction to Lathe work
• Overview of lathe machine setup
• Understanding machine axes and their operations
2. Lathe License toolpaths
• Programming live tooling operations with the Lathe license
• Key parameters for each toolpath, and understanding their appropriate applications
3. Milling License toolpaths
• Programming live tooling operations with the Milling license
• Strategies for using milling toolpaths to enhance lathe operations
4. C&Y Axis Toolpath Strategies
• In-depth exploration of C and Y axis programming in 4-axis lathe operations
• Programming and optimizing toolpaths for precision and efficiency in C&Y axis lathe operations
5.Mastercam’s Mill-Turn environment
• Setting up and configuring the mill-turn environment for complex lathe programming
• Simulating the mill-turn setup to verify accuracy and program integrity
6. Part Handling and Stock Transfer
• Using part handling functions to manage stock flips, part transfers, and multi-part operations
• Configuring and programming stock changes during lathe operations
7. Toolpath verification
• Running simulations to verify toolpath accuracy
• Performing collision checks and reviewing the final part against the design model

Prerequisites:
• Completion of the Mastercam Essentials Course
• Advanced machine knowledge (4-axis Lathe with C&Y Axes)
• Tooling knowledge
Recommendation:
• Review work completed in the Essentials course, particularly in 2D and 3D milling
• Understand the operations of live tooling lathes
