SOLIDWORKS Advanced 1

Category:

This instructor-led SOLIDWORKS Advanced 1 training course covers Advanced Part Modeling and Surfacing. Participants will learn how to create complex, freeform shapes and features using powerful tools and techniques available in SOLIDWORKS.

IN-PERSON: Attend the course at one of our campuses for an unforgettable learning experience! Find the campus closest to you and pick a date that fits your schedule perfectly.

The course starts with an introduction to advanced part modeling, covering topics on multi-body parts, splines, sweeps, and more advanced features, including lofts, boundaries, 3D sketches, as well as threads, library feature parts, and advanced filleting.

The course then moves on to the topic of surfacing, introducing the student to surfaces, solid-surface hybrid modeling, working with and repairing imported geometry, blends and patches, as well as complex and master surfacing techniques. Throughout the course, hands-on exercises and case studies will reinforce the concepts and techniques presented.

This instructor-led SOLIDWORKS Advanced 1 course is designed to provide participants with advanced skills in part modeling and surfacing, enabling them to design and create complex shapes and features with ease. The course consists of 18 modules and covers the following topics:

  • Introduction to advanced part modeling, including design intent, creating and modifying configurations, and advanced features such as sweeps, lofts, and patterns.
  • Boundary features, which allow for the creation of complex, freeform shapes using multiple sketch profiles.
  • Threads and library feature parts, which can save time and improve productivity by allowing commonly used parts and features to be easily created and reused.
  • 3D sketching techniques, which enable the creation of complex geometry and control of feature orientation and alignment.
  • Introduction to surfacing, including different surfacing techniques such as boundary, lofted and swept surfaces.
  • Advanced surfacing tools and techniques, including the use of tangent surfaces and curvature continuous surfaces.
  • Participants will receive a digital handbook to support their learning and serve as reference material for future use.
  • The course will be taught by experienced SOLIDWORKS trainers and experts in their field, providing high-quality instruction and support throughout the program.

By the end of the course, participants will be well-prepared for the Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWP) and Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional Advanced Surfacing (CSWPA Surfacing) exams. These industry-recognized certifications are highly valued by employers and demonstrate proficiency in SOLIDWORKS software.
