The Mastercam Lathe C&Y Axis Training Course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge for programming 4-Axis lathe operations with focus on the C and Y axis.
Lesson Plan
1. Introduction to the User Interface
• Overview of Mastercam’s interface and navigation
2. Mastercam Design
• Working with wireframes, creating drawings and modelling
• Converting wireframes to solid models, and vice versa
• Effectively utilizing Mastercam managers
3. Job Setup
• Setting up machines correctly in Mastercam
• Creating stock models
4. Wire EDM Toolpaths
• Programming various Wire EDM toolpaths: Contour, 4-Axis and No core
• Key parameters for each toolpath
• Completing part programming from start to finish
5.Verifying the toolpath.
• Running simulations to verify toolpath accuracy
• Performing model comparisons
MECAD to supply hardware and software.
Prerequisites:
• Proficiency with basic computer operations (Must be able to work on a computer)
• Familiar with windows file manager
• Basic knowledge of wire EDM operations
Recommendation:
• Prior experience with Mastercam or similar software is beneficial

o Setting up the machine
o Programming the part
o Simulating the program
