This course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of both the fundamental usage and administrative functions of SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional, equipping learners with the skills required to effectively manage, control, and maintain engineering data within a structured environment. It supports users involved in both day-to-day file management and higher-level system administration, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of the platform.

The training follows a process-based (task-based) approach, focusing on real-world workflows and practical application rather than isolated features. Through guided instruction and case-based scenarios, learners will develop an understanding of data management processes, file structures, workflows, and system behaviour, enabling them to confidently complete tasks within a PDM environment.

Participants will gain hands-on experience using key tools, commands, and system functions to manage files, control revisions, and improve collaboration. In addition, the course introduces the administrative aspects of SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional, including configuring workflows, managing permissions, and maintaining system settings to ensure data integrity, security, and efficient process control.

This instructor-led training includes demonstrations and practical laboratory exercises, allowing learners to apply their knowledge in scenarios that reflect real workplace tasks. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to both use and administer SOLIDWORKS PDM, contributing to improved data organisation, collaboration, and overall operational efficiency within their organisation.
