Module 3: Assembly Features and Smart Components.

  • Add features in assembly.
  • Insert hardware using smart features.
  • Create and use smart components.

Module 4: Assembly Editing.

  • Find and fix errors in assembly.
  • Mirror components in assembly.
  • Pattern Components.

Module 5: Using configurations with assemblies.

  • Create a configuration of an assembly.
  • Create a custom property manager for a part.
  • Use sensors to define design requirements.

Module 6: Display states and appearances

  • Use magnetic mates to connect assets in assembly.

Skill Prerequisites

  • Mechanical design experience.
  • Completed the SOLIDWORKS Essentials course.
  • Experience with the Windows® operating system.
  • Fundamental knowledge of plastic materials. plastic part design and/or injection mold design.
