This course focuses on building a strong foundation in the fundamental skills and concepts of using SOLIDWORKS PDM, enabling users to effectively access, manage, and control engineering data within a structured environment. The training is designed to support users who work with files in PDM, whether through viewing, contributing, or editing, and provides essential knowledge to navigate and utilise the system with confidence.
The course follows a process- or task-based approach to training, meaning the emphasis is placed on understanding and completing tasks rather than learning isolated features. Through guided examples and case-based scenarios, learners are introduced to the workflows, procedures, and system processes required to manage files efficiently within a PDM environment.
Participants will learn how to use key tools, commands, and menus in context, gaining practical experience in handling data, understanding system behaviour, and following structured processes to complete tasks.
