The SOLIDWORKS MBD (Model-Based Definition) Course provides a comprehensive, hands-on introduction to creating and managing 3D product and manufacturing information (PMI) directly within your models. This course is presented through practical exercises and real-world examples, enabling learners to apply model-based workflows in a structured and guided environment.
Throughout the SOLIDWORKS MBD Course, participants will learn how to define and communicate manufacturing data using 3D annotations, generate 3D PDF documentation, and export industry-standard files such as STEP 242. The training focuses on replacing traditional 2D drawings with fully annotated 3D models, improving clarity, efficiency, and collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams.
By the end of this course, learners will be able to confidently create MBD-ready models, apply PMI standards, and produce accurate, shareable digital deliverables that support modern model-based manufacturing processes.
